Terms of service

Effective August 29, 2026 · Last updated August 29, 2026

These terms govern the Cortesia website, public demo, and hosted concierge service. They are written to be read.

Acceptance

By using cortesia.ai, the demo, or the Cortesia service, you agree to these terms. If you are using Cortesia as a guest of a hotel, your stay is governed by your hotel’s own terms as well; these terms cover your use of the concierge itself.

What Cortesia is

Cortesia is a multilingual AI digital concierge for hotels. Guests scan a QR code and chat asking questions, requesting service, and getting local recommendations while hotel staff manage requests in a dashboard. The website also hosts a public demo.

Demo terms

The demo at app.cortesia.ai/demo uses fictional properties, staff, and data. Demo content may be reset, changed, or removed without notice. Do not enter real personal information into the demo.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service;

scrape the service or harvest data from it;

probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without written permission;

reverse engineer or copy the service or its software; or

use the concierge to harass hotel staff or submit false service requests.

Staff accounts

Staff accounts are invite-only. Each hotel is responsible for who it invites, for its staff’s use of the service, and for removing access when staff leave. Keep your sign-in email secure; magic links sent to it are your credential.

AI responses

Concierge responses are generated by artificial intelligence. They are usually helpful and occasionally wrong. They are not professional advice. Always confirm allergy and food-safety information directly with hotel staff the concierge alerts staff, but the humans preparing food are the authority.

Intellectual property

Cortesia’s software, design, and branding are ours. Each hotel’s name, branding, menus, and content belong to that hotel. You retain applicable rights in the text you type and give us the license needed to process it to run the service.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cortesia will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Indemnification

If your use of the service in violation of these terms causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Texas.

Hotel customers

If your hotel has a signed agreement with Cortesia, that agreement governs wherever it conflicts with these terms.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the dates at the top. Material changes will be noted prominently on this page. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the updated terms.
